william o’neal ii is a writer from the American South, living and working in both New York and Iowa City. Their plays have been recognized & performed by Emory University, Out of Hand Theater, The Tank NYC, The Kennedy Center, The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals, & The Road Theater in Los Angeles. Their poems have been recognized & published by The Journal, ONLY POEMS, The WB Yeats Society of NY, & Cave Canem. They are also a contributor for A World Wide Magazine, an independent NY based fashion magazine.

william is currently a poetry research fellow at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.
